Park Rides is a free service staffed by volunteers, to assist people who would like to enjoy Hyde Park in London but who are less able to walk long distances. Hyde Park is approximately 350 acres (142 hectares) and adjoins Kensington Gardens which is a further 265 acres (107 hectares).
Park Rides will operate from 11:00 to 16:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from early May to the middle of October
At present we run a circular buggy transport service from Hyde Park Corner around the Serpentine Lake and back to Hyde Park Corner. (This does not include the Long Water which is the part of the lake that continues into Kensington Gardens.)
The route startes from Hyde Park Corner making schedued stops at:
The Serpentine Bar and Grill,
The Triangle Car park,
The Lido Cafe and car park,
The Rose Garden
Hyde Park Corner.
The complete turn of the Serpentine lake is approximately 30 minutes but as it is a hail and stop service the time may vary.
If you wish to alight at any point along the way we will be happy to stop. Each of our drivers is a trained volunteer driver and will be happy to assist you with information and directions.
